1. Introduction
GSL (General Sales List) medicines are medicines that can be sold without a prescription and are regulated by the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) under the Human Medicines Regulations 2012.
As a UK-based distributor of GSL medicines, we are committed to ensuring that all products are supplied in line with MHRA and GDP (Good Distribution Practice) requirements.
GSL medicines supplied through this platform are for business-to-business (B2B) trade only and are not available for sale to the general public.
2. Who We Supply
We supply GSL medicines to the following types of authorised businesses:
- Registered retailers (e.g. pharmacies, supermarkets, healthcare shops)
- Licensed wholesalers holding a valid Wholesale Dealer’s Authorisation (WDA(H))
We do not supply GSL medicines directly to individual consumers or unregistered entities.
3. Regulatory Requirements
For Retailers and Pharmacies
- Must hold valid company registration or pharmacy registration (e.g. GPhC).
- Must confirm products are for direct retail sale to the public or authorised use.
- A WDA(H) is not required if products are purchased for retail sale only.
For Wholesalers and Distributors
- Must hold a valid WDA(H) (Wholesale Dealer’s Authorisation – Human).
- Must comply with GDP standards and MHRA regulations.
- Must have a Responsible Person (RP) overseeing distribution activities.
For Individuals and Unauthorised Buyers
- GSL medicines are not supplied to private individuals, non-registered businesses, or buyers outside of permitted regulatory categories.
4. Verification Process
To ensure compliance, all customers undergo verification prior to order fulfilment:
- Account registration must include business or pharmacy details.
- Wholesale customers must provide WDA(H) details and supporting documentation.
- Orders are reviewed to confirm regulatory eligibility.
- Orders may be delayed, placed on hold, or cancelled if verification fails.
5. Important Notes
- All GSL product sales are subject to MHRA regulations and internal compliance checks.
- We reserve the right to request additional documentation at any time.
- Non-compliant accounts will be restricted from purchasing regulated products.
